Tiny small homes

The homes we've been looking to buy (less than 1,000 sq. ft) are HUGE in comparison to the home featured in this video. In fact, our studio is large compared to their home. I found this very encouraging that a family of 4 could live in less than 200 sq. ft.

  1. That is small. Too small for me, but I like the idea of using every space and the small electric bill.

  2. Incredible! We truly do not *need* all the space that we think we do.

  4. That's amazing and so organized.....most of us have more space than we really need.
    I love the families attitude....

  5. Thanks for sharing the video. They seemed content with what they have and their home was cozy and inviting even though it's small.

  6. Cute little house! I have whined about not having enough space until I have decided to just be quiet and be thankful for what I do have. Anything can be done, if their is a need to do it.

  7. Mom always liked a small house. I was raised in a small house cause that is what she wanted, especially a small kitchen. She always said she wouldn't know what to do in a large kitchen. I admire you for having a little house and being happy in it. Hugs...Lu

    1. I would love to know specifically what your mother liked about a small house and kitchen if you care to share.

  8. We live in a pretty small house- it's a maisonette, which is basically one floor of a two storey house (that's been split into 2 flats). We love it. We chose it because of the location, and when we moved in I was a bit worried we might not have enough space but now I wouldn't change it for a bigger place (except for a small garden!). It's easier to clean and keep tidy, and as long as we have a bit of a sort out reguarly and don't allow for any clutter to build up, we barely notice that we're not living in a big space. We don't have a lot of room for storage so we've had to be a big ingenious there sometimes! But it's perfect for us :)

  9. Hi, I have just found your blog, My husband and I are just starting the journey you made a few years ago.
We now live in a very small apartment but I Thank the Lord
for that and I remind myself each and every day.
We have a roof over our heads, a warm bed, food and clothing. We are so blessed.
I am the one with the disability, having osteoporosis in both knees I find it hard to walk freely,I use a rollator walker to help me walk and keep my balance.I have applyed for the disability allowance here so I am waiting to see if I am awarded that. My husband does most of the work around the home and also cooks.
I have started from the beginning of your blog and read alittle each day, picking up lots of tips.

    1. Denise.. thank you for writing. I love your 'thankful heart' and seeing God in your details. No better way to live.. for it's Truth. I'm sorry that you are struggling physically. You are blessed to have such a wonderful husband. I'm glad you found my blog and I hope to hear from you often.
