Isn't she PRECIOUS??
'Merciful Grace' is so right! This video is a wonderful example of a child's ability to memorize scripture, prayers and worship songs. Young children are like a sponge when it comes to scripture memorization. It just takes time on the parents part and dedication to train them up in the ways of the Lord.
There are many creative and easy ways to train a child in scripture. Before they start to read the family can place the scripture on the dining room table and practice together. The younger child who cannot read will pick it up easily. When my children were younger we purchased scripture put to song at the bible bookstore to keep in the car. I still remember one verse we learned to song during those years and it came back to me not to long ago. We also had a Memorization Book that we wrote the scriptures we were memorizing. That way we had a convenient way to review previous scriptures. I still have that book!
It can become a lifestyle of practicing the verse during the week before a child goes to bed at night (it's wonderful to have God's Word on your heart as you are falling asleep), in the car, posted on mirror's in the bathroom for the older children to read as they brush their teeth, and to be practiced before a meal.
May the Lord bless you as you seek to train your children in His Word!

@MercifulGrace - What a GREAT reminder. I changed my post to reflect what you wrote. Thank you so much. I love Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Our women's group at the church have worked through several of her teachings. Always good stuff!
Our Darling Daughter is working on Memorizing Psalm 100 and then she will memorize Psalm 23 and Proverbs 1.
God Bless,

On another note (no pun intended!), she did a really good job singing a pretty challenging piece. I was impressed by that, too!
@BooksForMe - I'm glad you mentioned that we BIG KIDS would be blessed by hiding God's Word in our hearts! I'm still using the EASIEST (and it's FREE) scripture memorization program. Just go to http://www.biblememory.us to sign up. You can either customize your program and choose your own scriptures or use the one's assigned. An email is sent daily to your inbox. One word is left out per day until you've memorized the verse. Great, easy way to memorize scripture.
OH SHE IS SO CUTE! Awwww! I loved the part where she said "debtors", and that adorable smile at the end! How old is she? She can be the next American Idol when she's old enough!
Blessings,
Addy
LOL. My goodnes, she is sooo cute.
I wonder how she learned the song--from church? from her mother? from her father?
She is musically quite talented as well, to get all those notes!
Child-like faith. Not a childish mind, but a child-like faith, Lord! =)
